Missouri S&T students can request the SolidWorks Student Premium Edition for free on their personal computers to use in class by contacting the Help Desk. If you are a faculty member, instructor, or research graduate student who wishes to use this software on your university-owned computer or for any of the reasons above, please call the IT Help Desk to initiate the purchase of a license.  

About the Software

SolidWorks is a limited-time license and is available for use on personal devices via AppsAnywhere. This software is not licensed for use on university-owned computers nor is it licensed for research work. Mac users will need to access the VDI at https://it.mst.edu/services/vdi/ for Solidworks as there is not a Mac version of the software.

Accessing SolidWorks

1. Go to https://appsanywhere.mst.edu/ and install AppsAnywhere onto your device. 
2. Search for Solidworks and click launch. 
3. Cloudpaging Player will show progress as the program is downloaded for the first time. NOTE: This may take a long time as Solidowrks is a large program.

Contact the Help Desk if you have any issues with downloading or installing SolidWorks.
