Marco is our campus's approved provider for IT-funded printer and copier support. Due to budget constraints, IT is unable to fund additional campus printing without appropriate leadership approval. IT prefers that departments use group printers and copiers as much as possible.
To be as Earth-friendly as possible toner cartridges should be recycled. Instructions for how to do this are in the IT-Answers post. The Library and Help Desk will no longer collect used cartridges.
If your printer is a Marco-supported printer, the used toner needs to be returned to Marco. Here is a link with instructions: https://help.marconet.com/recycle-your-toner
If the printer is not a Marco-supported printer, the toner cartridge can be taken to the Rolla Recycling Center on Old St. James Road during regular office hours. There is no bin outside for these; you will need to go to the office, and they will show you where to place the used cartridges.
Note: If departments elect to purchase a printer without adding it to the Marco contract, they will incur an installation and networking fee of $50 per hour, and IT will not provide further printer support beyond initial setup.
IT contracts with Marco to procure and support networked HP printers and Canon copiers at S&T.
