Building Upgrades
As part of the Network Modernization project, we will be replacing all of the network switch gear in each building with current generation enterprise switches and upgrading their power and battery backup power systems. We will also be upgrading the wireless access points with the latest models. Post install we will analyze the buildings and move or add additional units to close coverage gaps as part of the comprehensive WiFi expansion portion of the project.
This upgrade will improve reliability by removing single points of failure, performance with modern hardware, speed by increasing building link speeds to the core up to 100Gbps, and security with advanced security and segmentation features, all while increasing capacity to support growing user demand, modern applications, and future expansion. Standardized hardware and updated software will also reduce operational risk, simplify management, and ensure continued vendor support and compliance with best practices.
