Should I turn off my monitor when not in use?
Absolutely!  Many newer models put the monitor to sleep, but turning it off helps ensure unnecessary power isn't used, especially if you're using an older computer.

Should I turn off my computer every day when I leave work?
IT recommends that you log out, but leave your computer powered on so we can push important security updates, when needed.  However, adjusting your computer's power settings can minimize its energy usage while you're away (see below for instructions) so that it uses only a tiny amount of electricity.
